Born on the territories of the Squamish, Musquem and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, Jula Ko is a second generation Chinese Canadian. Her expertise lies in integrated water management and water policy, having completed an international case study in Lao, a Masters of Environment and Resources at the University of Waterloo, and developed water policy in Alberta with Water Matters.

Assessing the capacity of BC First Nations in water planning and management, Ms. Ko’s work with the BC First Nations Fisheries Council included supporting the foundations of the Water for Fish program.

Julia has transferred her skills in project management and program management to ICCE where she has helped fine tune five iterations of the Community Funding Program. Currently, she is working to harden ICCE’s cybersecurity posture.
