Airdrie ABI was born and raised in St.Eustache, Manitoba. My wife (Gloria) and I have one son who owns a Plumbing and Heating company on Vancouver Island and one daughter who is a Civil Engineer for Surespan on the Island. I have one grandson who also works for Surespan. I moved my family to Vancouver Island from Airdrie, Alberta in 1990.Â
I have been involved in the Mechanical/Piping Industry for over 50 years. I pass my time on the British Columbia Metis Federation Board researching the cumulative effects of Metis history in BC as well as the Treasurer.Â
I am also on the Indigenous Monitoring Sub Committee Board (IMSC) of the Indigenous Advisory Monitoring Committee (IAMC) for the Trans Mountain Pipeline. On this Board I am on three committees. I enjoy what I do because I know that eventually I can make a difference.
